A major signalling fault between Carlisle and Penrith on 22nd August 2023, resulted in all Anglo-Scottish services being either terminated or heavily delayed at Preston.One such service was the 1016 Euston to Edinburgh, seen here Entering Preston, hauled by Class 390 No. 390117.The unit then worked the 1418 service to London Euston.
