DB Class 90 No. 90021 passes Copmanthorpe on 1st May 2023 heading a one-way private charter from King's Cross to Edinburgh. The special was due to return from Scotland as empty stock to Burton-on-Trent Wetmore sidings via Newcastle, Carlisle, Crewe, Stoke, Stafford, Walsall and Water Orton. DB Class 67 No. 67007 was on the rear of the train.
