Colas Class 70 No. 70806 heads along the WCML at Rowell near Milnthorpe on 4th April 2023 with the 14.02 Carlisle Yard - Chirk loaded timber working. The Class 70 later failed at Wigan causing a 100 minute blockage of the main line and inevitable disruption to passenger services. Classmate No. 70814 was removed from a preceding working at Crewe to recover No. 70806 and its train.
