West Coast Railways Class 47 No. 47813 approaches Cambridge on 18th February 2023 with a London Liverpool Street to Peterborough special service. This was the first of two return trips to be undertaken on the day with classmate No. 47815 ‘Great Western' which is on the rear. This routing was used because of engineering works between London King's Cross and St Neots/Royston. Visible to the right at the rear of the train is the recently erected compound associated with works for Cambridge South station which was given Transport and Works Act Order approval in December 2022, and is due to open in 2025.
