Despite railstrikes right across the network on 4th January 2023, the Tesco freight intermodal service service, operated by DRS, still runs.
Operating from South Bank Tees Dock - Daventry service, Class 68 No. 68009 powers thru Willington. Class 66/4 locos normally operate this service.
