LNER Class 801's meet at York on 29th December 2022. 801201 approaches York with from King's Cross to Edinburgh, while 801222 heads south with from Edinburgh. Both trains did not call at York, being diverted via the avoiding line due to the Christmas engineering operations to the north of the station. In the background is a Grand Central Class 180 working from King's Cross to Hartlepool which has called at the station and has reversed into Holgate loop, before continuing north on the diversionary route.
