The crew of LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 No. 48182, of Stockport depot, turn their locomotive at Great Rocks on 20th April 1968. The locomotive was withdrawn from service just two weeks later. The pit for the Great Rocks turntable can still be found in the undergrowth at this location.
