On 10th August 2022, Class 172/1 No. 172101 arrives at Whitlocks End on a test run and will shortly reverse to return to Tyseley Depot. This unit was previously on loan from Chiltern Railways but has now been repainted in West Midlands Trains livery after a permanent transfer.
