On the 30th June 2022, the first day of the ELR Summer Diesel Gala, Class 24 No. D5054 Phil Southern pulls out of the sidings at Ramsbottom with the first Brake Van working from Ramsbottom to Bury. This is a new addition to the timetable, passenger pay a supplement on top of the Rover Ticket to travel in the brake vans between Bury and Ramsbottom, but must alight when the service reverses in the sidings.
