A private charter from Crewe to Carlisle, via Ribblehead, run for members of the Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust, passes Whalley on 21st May 2022, hauled by LNER A4 Class Pacific No. 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley. This was the locomotive's first public main line charter since overhaul. Class 47 No. 47614 was at the rear.
