Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) 2-6-2T No. 996001 approaches the level crossing on the Elend to Sorge road, close to the old East/West German border, with an empty stock move from Wernigerode to Nordhausen on 29th April 2022. The photo shows the result of the many trees that have been cut down in the Harz area due to an infestation.
