The Easter weekend saw the installation of new trackwork at Taffs Well in connection with the development of the South Wales Metro. This is the view looking north on 16th April 2022: the new double-junction will eventually give access to the depot, which is under construction nearby on the right, and beyond the tampers, a new scissors crossing has been laid in the station.
