Class 37/6 No. 37610 (with classmate No. 37612 at the rear) on an infrastructure monitoring working, awaits time in Selby. Due to this service running some 25 mins early, it was diverted in to the bay platform to avoid conflict with passenger services, much to photographer's delight! Incidentally Platform 3 is no stranger to loco-hauled specials, as a regular RHTT service from York uses this bay every evening during the autumn season.
