For a number of weeks in June and July 2010, First Group 'Scotrail'-liveried Class 90 No. 90024 was engaged on ECML driver training duties and on occasions piloted the 11:52 Dollands Moor to Scunthorpe RS empty steel carriers. One such working on occurred on 30th June 2010 when it piloted EWS Class 92 No. 92042 'Honegger' dead in train (DIT), captured approaches Eaton Lane.
