SBB Class Ae6/6 No. 11498 BUCHS SG on a short infrastructure train at Blausee Mitholz on 23rd June 2004. Class Ae6/6 were originally built for Gotthard and Simplon route workings, were the first SBB locos to have the Swiss cross on the cab fronts, carry names and at 6000hp were front line locos for many years after being first introduced in 1953.At the time of this photograph they were becoming less frquently seen.
