Swanage Railway operated a special New Year timetable worked by the Class 117 DMU to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the closure of the branch by BR on 3rd January 1972. The fully main line fitted DMU is seen here waiting at Norden on a rather wet 2nd January 2022.
