A cold winter pandemic lockdown exercise walk for the photographer skirted Holes Bay at Poole which is dissected by the South West main line running from Bournemouth and Poole to Weymouth. Whilst in the close vicinity of the railway the photographer, after a short wait, was able to capture SWR Class 444 EMU No. 444006 approaches the bridge spanning the gap in the spit operating the 13:03 Weymouth to Bournemouth service on 10th February 2021. In usual operating times services to and from Weymouth along this line are every 30 minutes and originate from or terminate at Waterloo but, during this and previous lockdowns these services are hourly and only running between Bournemouth and Weymouth.
