On the 9th January 1999, ex works EWS Class 56 No. 56071 waits at Leamington Spa to take over from Merchant Navy Pacific No. 35005 Canadian Pacific that is on its way from Victoria with the return Merchant Capitalist. Due to a HST derailing at Coventry the 56 was going to take the train back to Crewe, via a different route.
