On the 2nd January 1999 LMS Stanier 8F No. 48773 made the first unassisted steam assent of the Lickey Incline, since steam days, with a Gloucester/Tyseley/Gloucester seven coach special, and is captured approaching Blackwell in full gear and sanders working flat out, quite a superb spectacle.
