Brush Type 4 No. D1706 powers past High Marnham signal box and prepares for the climb to Tuxford heading the 1005 Whitemoor to Mansfield Concentration Sidings coal empties on 2nd February 1966. D1706 was one of five locomotives fitted with a Sulzer 12-cyl 12LVA24 of 2,650 b.h.p at 1,050 rpm. They were fitted with standard engines in later years.
