On 13th August 2020, DRS Class 37 No. 37423 Spirit of the Lakes is seen stabled in the siding at Ulverston station with the 16.27 Carlisle Kingmoor - Blackpool North Network Rail test train which travels the Cumbrian Coast line and several other routes in the North West. The complex itinerary includes a two hour layover and reversal at Ulverston. Passing by is Northern Trains class 195 No. 195130 with the 19.45 Barrow-in-Furness - Manchester Airport service.
