Eurostar set No. 3301 and 3302 head through Stafford on 25th September 1997 while on test from Manchester International Depot in readiness for introduction on Regional Eurostar services from Manchester to Europe through the Channel Tunnel, which never materialised. After a career on Eurostar services to and from London, this set is now on long term hire to SNCF for use in France.
