Intercity Class 86 No. 86260 sweeps through the curves north of Norton Bridge on 15:30 Euston-Glasgow on 10th September 1987. Another location now denied as this is the exact spot where the present single Down Slow Line joins the existing formation at Heamies and the then Down Slow on the right of the picture has been abandoned.
