Built at Crewe, Class 56 No. 56125 entered traffic on 20th October 1983. The loco pictured at Moor Lane, Copmanthorpe, south of York on 20th August 1985, heads an empty mgr train towards York. The loco is still in service with DCR as No. 56303.
The roadway at this location formerly crossed the railway and the site of the former signal box can be seen at the bottom right of the photograph.
