Midline-liveried BR Class 310/2 No. 310104 (ex 310078) departs Birmingham New Street with the 16:35 Walsall - Stoke on Trent service on 2nd September 1989. A number of 310/1s were facelifted, gangwayed and were declassified in the last 80s. The loss of the wrap around cab windows was a real shame for these attractive looking EMUs.
