The West portal of Morley tunnel, 238 yards long, near Breadsall Hilltop on the GNR line from Nottingham Victoria to Derby Friargate is seen from the guards brakevan on a engineering working from Colwick to Derby Friargate on 16th November 1966. In 2009 the Great Northern Greenway bridal path was opened along the closed line for 1.5 miles starting at Morley Tunnel, which is now infilled.
