Class 55 Deltic No. D9009 Alycidon is seen at Barrow Hill on 24th July 1999. No. D9009 has been held at Nemesis Burton-on-Trent since a failure caused by a large power surge in March 2019, but in January 2020 repairs have been authorised on the damaged traction motors. No. D9009 will be moved to Barrow Hill for generator exchange, and a defective bogie will be examined at Nemesis.
