GWR operated Class 57/6 No. 57602 Restormel Castle stands at Newton Abbot with the cancelled Night Riviera service on the morning of 21st November 2019. Having made an unsuccessful attempt to climb Dainton Bank the train set back into the station. Slippery rails due to heavy rain and no available loco to provide assistance caused the train to be cancelled. The next available service to Penzance was a two-car Class 158 arriving 140 minutes later than the sleeper should have, oh the joy!
