With the main level crossing in Oakham closed on 15th September 2019 work is in progress replacing the trackbed through the crossing on the down side watched closely from the signal box. Network Rail track appliance No. Rail062 propels a small flatbed away from the worksite as a contractors vehicle stands on the down line.
