On 23rd July 2019, newly restored former North Eastern Railway 'J27' 0-6-0 No. 65984, couples up to the rear of the 12:30 departure from Grosmont on the first stage of its journey to the Wensleydale Railway. After a road movement to the Northallerton area, it will be operating services on the Wensleydale Railway from 2nd August 2019.
