Network Rail operated Rail Grinder No. DR79265 and two unidentified sister units are seen outside the Brighton side on 9th July 2019. The middle of the units became derailed around 03:00 in the morning during engineering work, and caused significant delays throughout the day. Luckily it did not impact on the operation of "The End of Southern Steam" railtour which departed from the Chatham side of the station.
