27th June 2019 This used to be 30 years ago the sight of Oakenshaw North Junction with a signalbox and the old Midland main Line to Goose Hill Normanton & Leeds consisting of four tracks! Nature has completely obscured and taken over what used to be an important route and main line. All that remains is the spur round to Crofton used purely by the Sand Train to Bretton. In this rare sight we see DRS Class 37/4 No. 37402 Stephen Middlemore operation with Inspection saloon Caroline on a York to York circular outing.
