Working a northbound Red Line Metro service from UAE Exchange to Rashidya, driverless Hitachi 5 Car EMU No. 5057 pulls away from Noor Bank Metro Station, Dubai on 2nd June 2018. With the entire network either elevated, as here, or in tunnel under the city, a station stop is the best chance to photograph one of these driverless trains. An extra challenge is that all stations are fully air conditioned and have glass doors that line up with the EMUs when they stop and the southbound 'driving' coach, nearest coach in this image, in all units is restricted for Ladies use only.
