Due to planned engineering works south of Gloucester, Colas Rail-operated Plasser & Theurer 08-4x4/4S-RT Tamper No. DR73905 was the only movement on the line as it departed Ashchurch at 09:00 for Exeter Riverside North Yard on 30th September 2018. Passenger services resumed after 10.00.
