Because of late running throughout the morning at Ely on 10th August 2018 an unusual occurrence saw two East Midlands Class 158s in adjacent platforms. Waiting to depart, No. 158862 will head to Norwich, while classmate No. 158785 is in Platform 1 going onwards to Peterborough and its final destination of Liverpool Lime Street.
