BB Class pacific No. 34109 "Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory" is pictured at Exeter Central with The Atlantic Coast Express in August 1963. The locomotive was new from Brighton Works in May 1950, built to Bullied's design with air-smoothed casing. Rebuilt at Eastleigh in March 1961, the locomotive was only to work for just over another 3 years, being withdrawn in October 1964 before being cut up at Birds Morriston.
