Having just arrived at Swanage from the Mid-Hants Railway, Ivatt Class 2MT prairie tank No. 41312 was immediately taken out of service with a broken spring on 11th October 2017. The locomotive was due to take part in the railways Autumn Steam Gala, which has been cancelled due to lack of available steam power. It is hoped, however, that No. 41312 will be back in service on 20th October.
