Passing the station signal box, built in 1890, is Class 153 Super Sprinter DMU No. 153378 terminating at Knaresborough with a Northern service from Leeds on 16th September 2017. The signal box is rather unusual in that it was built onto the end of an adjoining row of terraced houses on Kirkgate.
