A stalwart performer for a number of years on the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway at Porthmadog Bagnall 0-4-2T GELERT is undergoing major overhaul at Statfold Barn Works and a new boiler will be fitted. At the Autumn Enthusiasts Day on 9th September 2017 the refurbished frames stand on an accommodation trolley in the Works. The loco was supplied by Bagnall of Stafford, one of 4 similar locos, to the Rustenberg Gold Mines in South Africa in 1953.
