In heavy late afternoon rain, GWR 4200 Class 2-8-0T No. 4270 arrives at Furnace Sidings station after completing a gauging run from Coed Afon on 7th September 2017. Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41312 stands in the adjacent platform. Both locomotives were to appear as guest engines in the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway's 2017 Steam Gala over the following three days.
