The Railway Touring Company's "Dorset Coast Express" arrives at Bournemouth with LNER A4 Pacific No. 60009 "Union of South Africa in charge of the train on August 16th 2017. The tour was not without incident, the non arrival of the water tanker at Brockenhurst meant that WCRC Class 37706 had to provide assistance from the rear, and on the return leg the train was delayed by nearly an hour due to a trespass incident in the Virginia Water area. Despite the on-going major engineering works the tour still returned to London Waterloo.
