On 18th June 2017 2400 HP MTU powered Alstom class AD24C 1986 built diesel-electric loco No. 4404 arrives at Nong Kae with an all 3rd class 'Ordinary' service from Lang Suan to Thon Buri (Bangkok Noi). The 10 hour journey covers 330 miles with 92 station stops on 3rd class travel is free for Thai nationals and at a nominal cost for foreigners.
