The Oensingen Balsthal Bahn is home to two preserved steam locos. Ed4/4 196 is an 0-4-4-0 Mallet tank (Maffei, 1893) and Eb 2/4 J-S 35 is a 4-4-0T (Esslingen, 1891). On 10 June 2017, a special train was run from Oensingen to Sumiswald and back. Here at Sumiswald 196 heads the train with J-S 35 out of sight at the back.
