Suffered a power unit failure after working 21.20 Aberdeen-Kx "The Night Aberdonian".A traction motor failure sealed the Locos fate, and was withdrawn from service 1 8th October 1981. The Deltics were truly remarkable machines, one cannot help wondering if their demise was premature. Date of photograph, 6th December 1981.
