From 1987 until 2011 the Glasgow Museum of Transport was situated in the Kelvin Hall. In this image taken from an upstairs gallery on 19th May 1988 all of the standard gauge exhibits are in view. North British 4-4-0 No. 256 'Glen Douglas' is in the left foreground in front of Glasgow & South Western Railway 0-6-0T No. 9 and Andrew Barclay 0-6-0F 'S.S.E.B No. 1', while to it's right is Highland Railway 4-6-0 No. 103 and Great North of Scotland Railway 4-4-0 No. 49 'Gordon Highlander'. Caledonian Railway 4-4-2 No. 123 can just be seen behind the Royal Coach and the station building.
