The new station at Cambridge North opened to public service on 21st May 2017. Class 387 No. 387116 speeds through Platform 1 with a Kings Lynn to King's Cross service. Cambridge North is located at the site of the former Chesterton Junction PW yard and will serve the Cambridge Science Park area, as well as being on the Cambridge Guided Busway network. At present four trains per hour will call at the station.
