The Three Rivers Rail Partnership / Hastings Diesels 'Fawley Forester' was a great success on 13th May 2017, with Class 202 DEMU No. 1001 running three busy shuttle runs from Southampton to Fawley down the freight only Waterside line. 1001 is entering Totton with the 1304 departure from Southampton Central and it is hoped that in future years this line will return to the network for passenger use again.
