In Greater Manchester PTE orange and brown livery 3 car Class 303 EMU No. 303067 coasts into Crewe Station on 28th March 1989 with a service from Manchester to Crewe. In the early 1980's 13 of these units were transferred to Longsight EMD Manchester from Glasgow. Normally employed on Manchester to Hadfield and Glossop duties, sometimes as here, they appeared on duties normally covered by Class 304 units. Built by Pressed Steel in their Linwood Factory in Ayrshire No. 303067 entered service during October 1960 being withdrawn in October 1989 just 7 months after this image was taken. She was scrapped by Mayer Newman at their Snailwell Yard during February 1991.
