March 28th 2017 was steam test day for the visiting locos at Swanage ahead of the upcoming gala. SR rebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain Pacific No. 34053 "Sir Keith Park" pilots unrebuilt No. 34070 "Manston" on the 16:40 service from Swanage to Norden.
