LMS Jubilee Class 6P No. 45699 "Galatea" passes Carlisle with its support coach on March 4th 2017. The loco had arrived from Carnforth on the Railway Touring Company's "Winter Cumbrian Coast Express" and was going for servicing and turning prior to returning via the Cumbrian Coast. The run from Carnforth had been spectacular in the hands of driver Steve Chipperfield, with the Class 6 loco,(which deputising for unavailable Royal Scot No. 46115 Scots Guardsman) cresting Grayrigg at 37MPH and Shap at 26MPH with a load of 11 coaches and No. diesel assistance.
